Treated southern yellow pine is the most affordable decking option. We use only premium grade #1 pine decking. Chemically treated for rot and insect resistance. Pine is a soft wood that is prone to cupping and checking. Needs to be cleaned and sealed regularly.

Ipe’ is a Brazilian hardwood twice as hard as oak and naturally resistant to decay and insects. An extremely dense, tight grained wood, with an elegant rich walnut appearance. Ipe’ has the highest rating for insect and decay resistance. Offering up to a 100 year lifespan. Also, carrying a NFPA class A fire rating, Ipe’ can be oiled for rich dark look. Or, it can be left to weather naturally to a silver brown patina.
